Productivity with low investment will be highlighted at Expo+Indústria
⚡ Quick Summary
Increasing productivity does not need to start with large investments in technology, automation or machinery.
Increasing productivity does not need to start with large investments in technology, automation or machinery. For micro and small industries, the first leap in efficiency often lies in simple actions: organizing routines, measuring processes, monitoring basic indicators and transforming manual controls into accessible digital tools. This will be one of the themes highlighted at Expo+Indústria 2026, promoted by the Federation of Industries of the State of Paraná (Fiep), from August 25th to 27th, at the Expotrade Convention Center, in Pinhais.
Focusing on increasing productivity, business, innovation and competitiveness, the fair will bring together businesspeople, suppliers, specialists and institutions supporting the productive sector. For small companies, the event will be an opportunity to learn about solutions applicable to the reality of those who need to gain efficiency with a limited budget, lean teams and little time to test new tools.
In practice, simple resources such as digital checklists, tracking spreadsheets, basic production monitoring, more precise stock controls and loss indicators can already generate important changes. A small food industry, for example, can reduce waste by recording failures in the production process daily. A clothing factory can gain agility by mapping cutting, sewing and finishing steps, identifying bottlenecks that previously went unnoticed.
According to Sebrae/PR consultant, Suelen Luiz Gibellato Suzuki, state coordinator of Industry at the institution, productivity begins with management. "Many micro and small industries believe that productivity depends only on large investments. But, in many cases, the first gain comes from organizing the house, better measuring what happens on a daily basis and making decisions based on simple data", he states.
She explains that accessible tools help entrepreneurs see the production process more clearly. "When the company starts to register delays, rework, losses of raw materials or downtime, it starts to identify where the main problems are. From there, small improvements can generate consistent results", highlights Suelen.
Confirmed schedule
Disclosure.
For SMEs, participation in Expo+Indústria can represent more than access to suppliers. It's a chance to compare solutions, seek technical guidance and understand which tools make sense for each stage of business maturity.
"Productivity is not about doing more with overload. It's about doing better, with less waste, more organization and more intelligence in the process", summarizes Suelen.
The discussion on productivity for micro and small industries will be just one of the opportunities available to participants at Expo+Indústria 2026. Over the three days of programming, businesspeople will have access to content focused on innovation, competitiveness, digital transformation, internationalization and industrial development. Among the highlights already confirmed is the opening lecture with economist Ricardo Amorim, who will address economic perspectives, market trends and the challenges of competitiveness for the productive sector.
The program will also feature business rounds promoted in partnership between Fiep and Sebrae/PR, connecting purchasing industries and supplier companies in the clothing, metalworking and food and beverage sectors, in addition to an international round aimed at generating new partnerships and commercial opportunities. Another strategic moment will be the launch of the Industrial Policy of Paraná, built from the Regional Industry Forums, which mobilized more than 2,500 participants in 87 municipalities in Paraná. With the presence of companies and institutions, Expo+Indústria will be characterized by being an environment for business, connections and knowledge for companies of all sizes. Jackson Bisi, responsible for organizing Expo+Indústria, explains that the fair was designed to connect companies to solutions that can accelerate productivity. "Often, a micro or small industry believes that innovation and productivity are far from their reality, when there are accessible tools and practices capable of generating concrete results. We want to show just that: that it is possible to evolve, do more business and find new ways to grow", he says. “The Expo will be a space for connections and for transforming knowledge into opportunities”, he reinforces.
"Productivity today is a common challenge for the entire industry. Therefore, Expo+Indústria was planned to offer everything from strategic content to practical solutions that can be immediately applied in companies. We want entrepreneurs to leave the event with ideas, contacts and opportunities that contribute to making their business more efficient, competitive and prepared for the future", says Jackson Bisi.
