The possibility of an earthquake storm came to the fore after the earthquakes, the largest of which were 3.9 and 3.5 magnitudes. Geophysical Engineer Ali İlker Bulut said that the activity experienced was a natural earthquake cluster on short faults and that it did not create an expectation of a major earthquake. Bulut emphasized that these earthquakes are not strong enough to trigger other faults and stated that citizens should not panic. The expert also stated that the earthquake risk in Marmara continues, but the main priority should be earthquake preparations and urban transformation.
