Within 60 days...Russia and Iran will complete linking their banking systems away from “SWIFT”

The head of the Central Bank of Iran, Abdel Nasser Hemmati, confirmed that the third phase of the project linking the Iranian “Shtab” and Russian “Mir” payment networks will enter into force within a period not exceeding 60 days, in a step aimed at strengthening financial cooperation between the two countries and reducing dependence on the international “SWIFT” system.
