The new vehicle will be permanently based at the Municipal Civil Defense headquarters Secom With the aim of ensuring more agility, structure and protection for citizens, the City of Rio das Ostras formalized an important agreement with the Military Fire Department of the State of Rio de Janeiro. The partnership made it possible to direct a new emergency response vehicle to the Municipality, expanding operational relief capacity in the region. The new vehicle will be permanently based at the Municipal Civil Defense headquarters, located on the opposite side of the corporation's current headquarters. This geographical division resolves the issue of urban mobility in the city, allowing teams to be positioned in different quadrants separated by the municipal bridge. This way, while one team responds to calls in one ward of the Municipality, the other team takes over the incidents on the opposite side. The model was specifically designed to neutralize the impacts of road closures and physical barriers at times of highest traffic flow. "I thank the entire corporation for this partnership to take care of those who live in our city and those who visit us. And great news, we now have two ambulances, before we had one ambulance that was in the detachment, but with PROES, and now we will have another ambulance that will be in Civil Defense, meaning that they have two services", highlighted Mayor Carlos Augusto. Logistics optimization is largely justified by the intrinsic urgency of pre-hospital and rescue care. When it comes to an emergency situation, every minute saved by specialized teams is crucial to saving lives, avoiding serious consequences and providing the necessary support to those who need it most. This is the main reason for the City Hall's financial investment in the agreement: to strengthen the response structure and bring public service closer to the population of Rio de Janeiro.
