The investigation includes public competitions, selection processes and adherence to the National Teaching Test (PND), created by the Ministry of Education in 2026. As part of the investigation, the MPMT requested information from the State Department of Education (Seduc-MT) and the municipal departments of Cuiabá and Acorizal about joining the PND. If they have not joined, the bodies must explain the reason and inform when the last competition or selection was, in addition to presenting the planning and schedule for new hires. An updated list of education professionals was also requested, with functions, work locations and type of employment (effective or temporary). The MPMT also uses data from the Ministry of Education. In Cuiabá, the situation appears as Priority 3, with 5.5% of teaching inadequacy, 83% of teachers held in public examinations and the last competition held six to eight years ago. In Acorizal, also classified as Priority 3, there are 53.5% of teaching inadequacies, 64% of public candidates and a lack of information about the last competition and the career plan. The case is monitored by the 8th Public Prosecutor's Office for the Defense of Education of Cuiabá.
