The Alagoas Civil Police (PC/AL) is investigating whether teenager José Vinícius da Silva, shot dead on Saturday (13) in the rural area of Arapiraca, was the victim of a mistake. The corporation reported this Tuesday (16) that the criminals may have confused the target of the attack.
On the night of the crime, the young man was in a bar in the town of Cangandu when he was surprised by armed men, who fired several shots. He succumbed to his injuries and died at the scene. So far, no suspects have been identified.

Lines of investigation
According to delegate Esron Pinho, from the Crime Scene Assistance Unit 3 (UALC 3), the suspicion that the victim was executed by mistake is one of the investigation fronts in the case.
"We can assume that it was a barbaric crime that shocked the local community due to an apparent mistake in the execution of the murder," said Pinho.

In order not to hinder the investigations, the delegate did not give details, but stated that the team is already analyzing some lines of investigation to clarify the circumstances of the murder. The exact motivation for the crime is still unknown.
