This Wednesday, June 17, MEPs must authorize or not the presence in the European Union of plants resulting from what are called New Genomic Techniques, NTG. Objective: to relax the rules for marketing and cultivating these plants, so that they are more resilient in the face of global warming or even less dependent on fertilizers or pesticides. At least that is what supporters of NTG defend, while opponents denounce the return of GMOs.
