The majority of ministers of the First Panel of the Federal Supreme Court (STF) voted this Tuesday (16) to convict former federal deputy Eduardo Bolsonaro for the crime of coercion during the process.
The votes were given in the criminal action in which the former deputy is a defendant for encouraging the United States to enact, last year, tariffs against Brazilian exports, the revocation of visas of ministers of the Court and the federal government, in addition to the application of economic sanctions under the Magnitsky Law, to try to avoid the conviction of former president Jair Bolsonaro in the coup plot process.

The trial score is 3 votes to 0. The votes were cast by the rapporteur, Alexandre de Moraes, and ministers Cristiano Zanin and Cármen Lúcia.
The trial continues to take the last vote, which will be from minister Flávio Dino.

After voting ends, ministers will move on to the sentence dosimetry phase, when the former deputy's sentence will be defined.
Since last year, Eduardo Bolsonaro has been in the United States and lost his parliamentary mandate for missing sessions of the Chamber of Deputies.
