A runaway truck caused an accident on Monday afternoon (15) in Itapecerica, in the Center-West of Minas Gerais. According to the Military Police (PM), the vehicle had a mechanical failure in the braking system, went the wrong way, hit a car and hit the facade of a commercial establishment in the central region of the city.
According to the PM, the truck was driving through the entrance to the city when the 62-year-old driver noticed the mechanical problem.

In an attempt to avoid more serious consequences, he performed a maneuver, but ended up going the wrong way and hitting a car driven by a 64-year-old man, who was turning at an intersection.
After the crash, the truck continued up the street. He then lost speed, reversed and mounted the sidewalk, crashing into the facade of a store. A parked bicycle was also damaged.

The truck driver was in a state of shock and received assistance from the Mobile Emergency Care Service (Samu) team. He was taken to a health unit.
The driver of the car suffered minor injuries and was advised to seek medical attention.
The Military Police isolated the area and guided traffic until the vehicles were removed, which were removed from the scene by those responsible.
