Suspects of laundering money from drug trafficking for the Primeiro Comando da Capital (PCC) and Bonde dos 40 factions, through shell companies and betting operators (bets), were arrested in Operation Soberania - National Convergence, carried out this Friday (16) by the Special Action Group to Combat Organized Crime (Gaeco) of the Public Ministry of Piauí (MPPI). Until the publication of this report, ten people were preventively arrested and 15 search and seizure warrants were carried out in Água Branca, Altos, Angical do Piauí, Santo Antônio dos Milagres and São Gonçalo do Piauí. Now on g1 Gaeco's deputy coordinator, prosecutor William Luz, stated that criminal groups are disputing control of territories in the Médio Parnaíba region and leaving "dozens of dead" in the process.
