All eyes in CHP turned to the Central Executive Board meeting to be held under the chairmanship of Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu. While the group meeting will not be held this week, new disciplinary referrals, possible appointments to provincial chairs and steps towards the Parliamentary Group are expected to be discussed in the Central Executive Board. It is rumored behind the scenes that some MPs and provincial heads close to Özgür Özel may be subject to discipline with a request for expulsion. It is also stated that new group deputy chairmen may be appointed instead of Ali Mahir Başkar and Gökhan Günaydın, and it is claimed that the Özgür Özel front is preparing for a vote of no confidence against this. Another critical agenda item of the Central Executive Board will be the request for an extraordinary congress, supported by approximately 900 signatures.
