The agreement reached between the USA and Iran was welcomed by the public as the risk of war in the Gulf countries decreased. However, regional countries such as Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Qatar are cautious because the agreement does not cover Iran's ballistic missile program, UAV capacity and militia forces in the region. While experts state that Iran has made fewer concessions compared to the 2015 nuclear agreement, they point out that Gulf countries are now trying to create their own regional security mechanisms instead of relying solely on the security umbrella of the United States.
