Raimundo was at a neighbor's house when he was surprised by the suspect, who allegedly fired shots at him. According to witnesses, the suspect accused the victim of stealing a motorcycle and money from his family about two years ago. The possible motivation for the crime, however, is still investigated by the police. According to the Maranhão Military Police, after being called, the team began searching the region and managed to locate the suspect hours later. He was arrested and a homemade shotgun, identified as the weapon used in the crime, was seized. The suspect was taken to the Coelho Neto Police Station and must be taken to the prison system.
