Man takes unconscious woman into car after assault in BH salon A 37-year-old woman was beaten and choked until she lost consciousness by her 46-year-old ex-partner, this Monday morning (15), in the Jardim Montanhês neighborhood, in the Northwest Region of Belo Horizonte. He was arrested by the police and admitted to having assaulted the woman (read more below). The man appears arriving at the beauty salon where the victim was and, minutes later, leaving the place with her in his arms. The images also show people observing movement on the street and trying to contain the man's actions. When a police vehicle passed by the scene, residents drew the attention of the military. Upon returning, the team found the woman with injuries and arrested the suspect after searching the area. Residents also reported that the man slammed the car door against her several times during the attacks. The woman was rescued and taken to Odilon Behrens Hospital. According to the police report, she was unable to speak or stand upright and complained of pain in her neck, spine, head, face and legs. Due to the state of health and the mental confusion caused by the attacks, the police were unable to collect the victim's statement. What the suspect says According to police records, the man stated that he received a call from the woman informing him that she would not be able to pay a debt of R$20,000. After the conversation, he went to the beauty salon where she was. According to the suspect's report, the two argued at the scene. He then forcibly removed the victim from the establishment, knocked her to the floor and began attacking her. The man admitted to the police that he punched and kicked the woman and choked her until she lost consciousness before putting her in the car. Prison A witness told police that he had gone out for about 15 minutes to buy a snack for the victim. When she returned, she found the man attacking her and trying to put her in the vehicle. She started asking for help and caught the attention of neighbors who were on the street. According to the PM, upon noticing the military approaching, the suspect fled on foot. He was located a short time later and taken to the police station. The motorcycle used by the man to get to the location was seized. The case will be investigated by the Civil Police.
