In one of the biggest revisions of its higher education system, over the past four years, China has removed or suspended more than 12,000 university courses and at the same time added more than 10,000 new courses to the country's universities. This action is part of Beijing's effort to deal with the growing youth unemployment crisis and adapt higher education to the needs of the future labor market.
