Former governor of Minas Gerais and presidential candidate Romeu Zema (Novo) was disinvited from a party meeting in Santa Catarina scheduled for the beginning of July. The measure comes after former federal deputy Eduardo Bolsonaro defended the break between PL and Novo after the pre-candidate criticized senator Flávio Bolsonaro for his involvement with the owner of the Master bank. The information was published by the newspaper "O Globo" and confirmed by g1 this Monday (15). Under reserve, members of Zema's pre-campaign said that the former governor found out about the cancellation of the invitation through the press. The pre-candidate for president for Novo, Romeu Zema Reproduction "I am very well received by the people of Santa Catarina, I have a very special affection for them. I have been to the state several times and will soon be there again", said Zema about what happened. Earlier, the president of the party's directory in SC, Kahlil Elias Assib Zattar, distributed a note to party members and leaders about the measure. In the text, the presidency informs that, after a discussion of alignment with the main leaders of the party in the state, the Novo Estado chose not to maintain the invitation. Furthermore, the note says that, if there is no drastic and immediate change in the pre-candidate's communications team, the State Directory of Santa Catarina must take a position against the party's nomination of Zema as a candidate for President of the Republic.
