João Gomes presents album 'Pé de Serrita' during event in São João Kaio Cads/Disclosure Singer João Gomes announced, this Monday (15), the attractions that will perform with him at "São João Gomes". The free party, scheduled for Wednesday (17th), a week away from São João, promises to transform the Recife neighborhood into a great June festival with a repertoire of albums recorded in the artist's hometown (find out more below). In addition to João Gomes, the event will feature performances by Mestrinho, the singer's partner on the album "Dominguinho", and popular demonstrations (check out the full list below). There will also be a gastronomy and crafts fair. In addition to the shows at the structure, the public will be able to watch parades of June gangs, groups of blunderbusses, oxen and other cultural attractions on Avenida Alfredo Lisboa. The attractions start at 3pm. The processions will leave Praça do Pilar towards the covered courtyard of Cais do Sertão, a space that will be transformed into a "Quadrilhódromo" for the performances. Transforming the place into a big June party, the singer presents the show of the album "Pé de Serrita", recorded in the city that gives the project its name, in the Sertão of Pernambuco, where the artist was born and where his grandmother's house is located. With 16 songs distributed across 10 tracks, the album uses words in its title, alluding to the term "pé de serra", while at the same time mentioning the name of the city where the artist lived part of his childhood. In its programming, the project usually invites other artists, as well as representatives of June culture, such as square dances. The party has already visited the cities of São Paulo, Fortaleza, Porto, in Portugal, and Salvador.
