UPSC released the result of Civil Services Prelims 2026 on Monday. Against 1,016 vacancies, 13,343 candidates have qualified for the Mains exam. The preliminary examination was held on 24 May. Last year, 14,161 candidates were selected for Mains for 1,087 posts. UPSC said that candidates appearing for the Mains exam will have to update their details between June 19 and 28. During this time it will be mandatory to deposit fees, fill cadre preference and give other necessary information. According to the Commission, all eligible candidates will have to login to the portal and submit the final application form. If they do not do so, they will not be included in the further examination process.
