Pelé's trajectory was portrayed in the streets of the Historic Center of Santos (SP) on a cultural route that transforms the tour of the city into an experience of discovery. The project was created by artist Leonardo Leite, known as Prëo — who once had a work sold for R$400,000 at a Neymar auction — and brings together 19 urban art interventions spread across the streets of the center.
The route was opened last Saturday (13) and remains available to residents and tourists. The paintings depict remarkable episodes in the King of Football’s career.

The works follow the minimal street art style, already used by Prëo in small interventions in the city for around a year. Now, the artist expands the visual narrative, inviting the public to rediscover the historical and cultural heritage of Santos.

According to the Secretary of Tourism, Commerce and Entrepreneurship, Luiz Dias Guimarães, the initiative values the center and pays homage to one of the greatest icons of world sport. “We have already observed children and young people hunting for these paintings on the walls of the Center, as if they were World Cup figurines”, he stated.
The route can be explored using two routes available on Google Maps (see below) allowing visitors to photograph the works and discover different parts of the Historic Center. Part of the interventions can also be seen virtually, expanding the reach of the project to other cities and countries.
In addition to the in-person experience, some of the works can be viewed virtually on Google Maps.
