Registration
Participation is optional and free. To register for Sisu+, interested parties must access the Single Portal for Access to Higher Education in Sisu. The registration deadline ends this Friday (19).
At the time of registration, the candidate will be able to choose up to two courses, independently of the choices made in January this year.
It is necessary to indicate the first and second preferred option for the courses. During the registration period, the candidate can change their registration as many times as they wish.
In each of them, the student will be able to view the chosen course, the place of offering, the educational institution, the shift, the degree, any affirmative actions specific to the institution (if any) and the types of competition in which they will be enrolled.
If necessary, candidates who participated in the regular stage can update socioeconomic information and change competition modalities.
However, the candidate approved in the regular Sisu 2026 call, if they are enrolled in an undergraduate course at a public higher education institution, can normally participate in Sisu+, as long as they opt for only one of the places, as the legislation prohibits the same person from occupying two places simultaneously.
The Ministry of Education (MEC) created an electronic page to clarify frequently asked questions about registering for Sisu+ 2026. Access here.
Selection
The folder explains that the system automatically selects, for each course option chosen by the candidate, the valid edition of Enem that results in the best weighted average, according to the weights and criteria defined by the institution for the respective offer.
The selection system makes the cut-off marks for each course available during the registration period.
For selection, the Sisu system will consider different types of competition, which take into account the socioeconomic profile of the candidates, in accordance with the Quota Law (Law nº 12,711/2012), and also in accordance with the affirmative actions defined by the participating institutions.
Sisu+ Schedule
After the registration period, from June 15th to 19th, the only regular call will be announced with the names of those pre-selected, on June 24th, on the Sisu website.
For those who need to apply to the waiting list because they are not among those pre-selected, the deadline for expressing interest will be from June 24th to 26th.
According to the notice, the registration process for those selected in the regular call will begin on June 25th.
Finally, registration of those called up via the waiting list will begin on July 1st.
What is Sisu+
Coordinated by the MEC, Sisu regular aims to democratize access to higher education in public institutions that have joined the selection process.
Sisu+ does not constitute a new selection process, but rather an extension of Sisu 2026. And it was designed by the MEC to be a more efficient tool to improve the selection of candidates for vacancies in higher education. The ministry plans for Sisu+ to be used in courses that traditionally have high turnover, where the student is admitted, but gives up their place or changes course, which creates the need for public universities to organize successive calls to fill vacancies.
With Sisu+, the institution can adopt Sisu's automated structure to run waiting lists more quickly, ensuring that the vacancy does not remain idle.
Another advantage highlighted by the MEC is the economy. Educational institutions that, in parallel, would carry out their own selection processes, such as entrance exams, for vacancies opening in the second semester, can reduce administrative costs and use the Sisu system to select candidates.
In courses where there are vacancies, such as teaching degrees, engineering and other strategic areas that the country needs to develop, Sisu+ can expand access to these vacancies because it centralizes what was previously dispersed across dozens of different university websites.
In this way, the complementary selection process standardizes the availability of vacancies by institutions and makes it easier for students to consult opportunities.
The Education department will evaluate the results of the implementation of Sisu+ 2026 to decide on possible future editions of the complementary selection process.
