Russia launched new attacks against Ukraine on June 15, leaving at least 11 dead. The attacks damaged the Las Cuevas monastery, an ancient architectural and religious jewel declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1990. A bishop from the monastery called on the international community to "help stop the aggressor who is destroying sacred places." The offensive reached cities such as kyiv, Dnipro and Kharkiv.
