Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2003, the place houses paintings covering a period from the Mesolithic to the Middle Ages. In the middle of the jungle populated by wild animals, scenes of hunting, family life and even rituals have been protected from bad weather thanks to hundreds of rock shelters. But these works are today threatened by tourism, erosion and climate change.
