Beijing responds to an Australian institute's report that warned of its military capabilities: Our weapons are to protect national sovereignty

The Chinese statements came in response to a report published on Sunday by the Australian Lowy Research Institute, based in Sydney, in which it warned of China's increasing ability to direct missile strikes on Australian territory.
