On the night of June 15, Russia attacked Kyiv: almost all areas of the city suffered from shelling. Five people were killed and more than 30 were injured (among them children and a pregnant woman). Due to the impact, the roof of the Assumption Cathedral of the Kiev Pechersk Lavra, one of the most important Orthodox churches in the world and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, caught fire. In addition, the building of the Dovzhenko National Film Studio, a key place for the history of Ukrainian and Soviet cinema, caught fire. The oldest collection of costumes in Ukraine was destroyed.
