The debate discussed how legal security and coordinated governance can become institutional infrastructure to bring those who operate the naval and offshore sector closer to those who regulate and finance it. Among the topics covered were the advancement of Marine Spatial Planning (PEM), the improvement of national regulatory frameworks and the paths to enable projects that transform the potential of the Brazilian coast into economic development.
Representatives of the current administration of the city of Niterói reinforced, during the event, the city's historical role in Brazilian naval industrialization, which began 180 years ago with the Mauá Shipyard, and highlighted the presence, in the municipality, of shipbuilding and repair companies, as well as companies supporting offshore oil exploration.
The launch marks the beginning of a program that will connect the event to the international scene. "This event is endorsed by Fira Barcelona, supported by Niterói City Hall and organized by iCities. We are here launching the entire event program, with major international and national lectures that we will have during the meeting. It is with great satisfaction that we embrace this event for the development of Niterói's local economy", stated Caio de Castro, CEO of iCities.
Event partners, the Maravalley hub also participated in the launch and took the opportunity to assess the city's current situation. "Niterói has an absurd connection with the sea, and is seeing, through Tomorrow.Blue Economy, more strategy and more possibilities for targeted business. This will be very good for those who will participate in the event", said Rodrigo Santiago, communicator specializing in public relations at Maravalley.
Tomorrow.Blue Economy Niterói pre-sale is now available, with purchase categories for Participant and Business. More information about the program can be found on the event's official website.
