The police found the car running and the mayor alone in the driver's seat. According to the PM, when he was woken up, Raposo was disoriented. He admitted that he had been drinking in a bar in Boa Vista and said he was on his way home, but he couldn't stand the tiredness and fell asleep. During the approach, the mayor reacted aggressively, insulted the team responsible for the incident with insults and slapped a sub-lieutenant's hand, which caused a cut and bleeding. The mayor also tried to intimidate the agents. He repeatedly stated that "the garrison would crumble" and threatened to take action against higher authorities against the police officers.
