The Parliamentary Director General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized on binding the sovereignty of Iran and Oman over the Strait of Hormuz

Referring to the ongoing negotiations between Iran and Oman and the formation of a special working group for the Strait of Hormuz in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the need for coordination and cooperation between Tehran and Muscat to implement the management arrangements for crossing the Strait of Hormoz, an official of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran said: It is expected that the historical sovereignty of Iran and Oman will be invoked in the formulation of the management arrangements for the passage through the Strait of Hormuz and will be legally binding.
