On June 15, the G7 summit will begin in the French Alps, amid great expectations about the issues that will dominate the agenda. An eventual ceasefire between the United States and Iran seemed close to being finalized, but recent Israeli bombings in southern Lebanon have once again increased tension in the region. France seeks to dedicate an important part of the summit to these international conflicts, as well as the war in Ukraine.
