In Mali, it has been almost a month and a half since the kidnappings of political opponents by State Security began. On the night of May 2 to 3, Mountaga Tall, a lawyer committed to democracy, was kidnapped from his home at night by hooded armed men. On the 3rd, it was the turn of Moussa “Abba” Djiré, president of “Yiriwa 223” then, on the 4th, of Youssouf Daba Diawara, close to the imam and exiled opponent Mahmoud Dicko. Other political, military and religious figures were also kidnapped by the Malian services under the same conditions. All are detained in unknown locations, without any legal procedure. Ismaël Sacko, opponent in exile outside Mali, president of the PSDA - now dissolved like all political parties in Mali -, and member of the CFR, the Coalition of Forces for the Republic led by Imam Dicko, denounces "a strategy of terror".
