On social media, the mayor of the capital, Sandro Mabel (UB), asked the population to avoid going out during the rain and highlighted that the data is still inaccurate regarding the millimeter forecast. "We don't know how much it will rain. The radar isn't reporting correctly, but we wanted to ask you: from Sunday, you've had enough. Go home", asked the mayor. To g1, Cimehgo manager, André Amorim, reported on Friday (12) that the capital would face irregular rains, including at the weekend, but that the weather would gradually improve throughout this week. Also according to him, meteorologists are observing whether a new cold front, which should reach Goiás on Saturday (20), could bring new rain. "These rains in the month of June are actually interesting, because we are usually waiting for a dry period. But, remembering here that last year we had a rain on June 24th here in Goiânia of 6.1 mm.
