For more than two weeks, tens of thousands of Albanians have been demonstrating every evening at 6 p.m. in several cities across the country but also abroad. They are protesting against a luxury tourism project linked to the Trump family and planned in a protected natural area in the Vjosa River delta. If the demands of the demonstrators today are very diverse, the origin of the anger is the blank check given by the government of Edi Rama to foreign investors to develop tourism in the country, despite the environmental consequences.
