A new storm hit Uberlândia late this Sunday afternoon (14) and left streets flooded.
Since the end of the week, it has been raining in the city. On Saturday night (13), lightning struck, causing a short circuit and setting a house on fire. Despite the damage, no one was injured.

According to the Fire Department, at least three people were trapped inside a car near the Municipal Theater, on Avenida Rondon Pacheco. There is also a rescue call on Avenida Geraldo Abrão, in Jardim Inconfidência.
The city is under yellow alert issued by the Municipal Coordination of Protection and Civil Defense (Compdec). The agency reported that there is a possibility of moderate to heavy rain in the municipality throughout Sunday.

In case of emergency during periods of intense rain, authorities advise the population to adopt safety measures:
Immediately call Civil Defense via 199 in risky situations;
Contact the Fire Department on 193 in case of fires, collapses or rescues.
Call the Military Police on 190 when police assistance is needed;
Avoid walking through flooded streets and avenues;
Whenever possible, use alternative routes or wait for the rain to pass in a safe location.
