Alok announces financial donation after being unable to hold a drone show in Caruaru
DJ Alok was unable to perform the traditional drone show during his performance at São João de Caruaru 2026. The unforeseen event occurred at Pátio de Eventos Luiz Gonzaga, the main center of entertainment for the June festivities in the city of Agreste in Pernambuco. Still on stage, the artist announced that he would donate the money that would be used for the drone presentation.
According to the artist, interference in the system prevented the equipment from taking off. Still on stage, Alok lamented what happened, explained that he had prepared a tribute for the people of Caruaru and announced that the money that would be allocated to the visual attraction will be donated to the municipality's health sector (see video above).

"For some reason here, we can't get a signal, in this area there is a lot of interference. I had prepared a beautiful tribute for you tonight. [...] I'm going to take the entire value of the drone and donate it again to health, beauty? But that's it, guys. Technology, it's part of it", said the artist.
According to the Caruaru Culture Foundation (FCC), Alok was hired to perform at São João de Caruaru on Saturday night (13) for the amount of R$850,000. Until the last update of this report, the amount that will be donated to the municipality was not announced.
This is the second time that the DJ has faced problems that make it impossible to perform with drones, a trademark of his shows. The last time Alok was on Caruaru's June schedule was in 2024, when the flight was also prevented by external factors.
At the time, the amount was donated to the Agreste Children's Cancer Institute (ICIA), after the institute's board contacted the artist's production. The amount donated was not disclosed.
According to ICIA officials, the financial support helped with the maintenance of multidisciplinary and oncological care, exams and hospitalizations and helped with the functioning of the pediatric Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
