Crash between motorcycles after wrong-way invasion leaves two young people dead in Serra, Espírito Santo Reproduction/Social media Two men aged 21 and 22 died in an accident involving two motorcycles in the early hours of this Sunday (14), in the Cidade Continental neighborhood, in Serra, Greater Vitória. A third man who was in one of the vehicles was injured. According to the Military Police, the vehicles collided head-on after one of the drivers entered the wrong lane. One of the young people died on the asphalt, while the other was rescued, but died inside the Fire Department ambulance. When the police arrived at the scene, teams from the Fire Department and the Mobile Emergency Care Service (Samu) were already providing care to the victims. The PM reported that one of the young people was heading towards Novo Horizonte x Manguinhos, traveling correctly on the road. The driver who was in the opposite direction would have invaded the opposite direction. It was also not possible to determine who was driving and who was on the back of one of the motorcycles involved, as witnesses who were at the scene were unable to provide information. One of the motorcycles involved was removed from the yard due to its 2024 and 2025 licensing being overdue. The Scientific Police reported that the investigation was called at around 12:55 am. The bodies of the victims were sent to the Instituto Médico-Legal (IML), in Vitória, to undergo an autopsy before being released to their families.
