Reducing the cost of green electricity to 2 cents... Algeria's new bet to attract investments

The Director General of the Green Energy Complex, Boukhalfa Yaissi, confirmed that Algeria is required to reduce the cost of producing green electricity from about 5 cents currently to between 1.5 and 2 cents per kilowatt-hour, in parallel with the implementation of the renewable energy program with a capacity of 15 thousand megawatts, to ensure the competitiveness of investments related to clean energy projects and partnership with the European Union.
