Nigeria and Ethiopia signed a bilateral agreement this week allowing the transfer of 100 Nigerian nationals detained in Ethiopia, so that they can serve the end of their sentences in their country of origin. The delegation, led by Minister of Foreign Affairs Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu and Minister of Justice Lateef Fagbemi, was received by the Ethiopian Minister of Foreign Affairs in Addis Ababa to ratify an agreement marking "a significant step forward in consular and judicial cooperation" according to the authorities of the two countries.
