Procession of Santo Antônio ends with broadcast of Brazil's game in Campo Maior Hundreds of faithful participated, this Saturday (13), in the procession to close the festivities of Santo Antônio, in Campo Maior, in the North of Piauí. The religious celebration ended with a different program this year: the broadcast of Brazil's first game in the World Cup, against Morocco, at St. Anthony's Cathedral. With songs, the faithful accompanied the image of Saint Anthony in a moment of faith and devotion. At the end of the procession, the celebration took on a different atmosphere in the square. Five screens were set up to show the Brazilian team's match, bringing together the public who remained there to watch the game and others who arrived later to watch the match. Young Angélica Sousa participates in the festivities for the third time to pay off a promise made to the saint. According to her, combining two important events was a great idea. "It's the third time I've participated due to a promise I made with Santo Antônio and every year it's a different emotion. I loved the idea [of the screens], as it's an opportunity to get together with friends, without having to worry too much about space. Here people are freer to celebrate", said Angélica.
