The United Nations on Thursday expressed its regret at the intensification of Israeli settler violence in the occupied West Bank at a “record” pace, with an average of six attacks per day resulting in casualties or damage. According to figures from the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), “the number of settler attacks that caused casualties or damage to property this year in the West Bank has exceeded 1,000 attacks,” affecting more than 230 areas across the West Bank, Stephane Dujarric, spokesman for the United Nations Secretary-General, told reporters.
