Ancelotti highlights set pieces and ensures Brazil is competitive in the World Cup.
Lula said that, in this World Cup, what counts is for these “girls” to understand that they know how to play ball, but to win the world tournament it is necessary to do more than play what they know. According to the president, the team is playing for the Brazilian people.
"Each player like this was born in a suburb, each player like this has poor friends and they know how these friends supported when they were boys. So, tell them, Ancelotti, that they need to play for the Brazilian people, for the teenagers, for the boys and girls who have very high expectations of our team winning the sixth championship", he stated.
Lula mentioned that the country does not have the best team in the world, but it is the team chosen by Ancelotti, who knows that they can do what the coach expects of them. He asked the players to enter the field with soul, to get up when they fall and kick the ball into the opponent's goal.
"Ancelotti, you who were a great player, tell them that what counts is determination, it's the cohesion, the unity, the harmony of the team. It (the team) has to be well, motivated and has to play thinking about the Brazilian people who need a victory. If you achieve that, Ancelotti, you will be our hero. World Cup, we don't compete, we win", concluded Lula wishing good luck and saying that he will be supporting.
