Lorena Police Station (SP) Reproduction/TV Vanguarda One man died and another was injured after a shooting attack in the early hours of Saturday (13), on Estrada Municipal Darcy Nunes Villela, in the rural area of Lorena (SP). The case is being investigated as a homicide and attempted homicide by the Civil Police. No one was arrested. According to the police report, the crime took place around 5:30 am, near a dance club in the region. The two men and three women were in a car that was hit by gunfire. The police report states that the fatal victim was identified as Guilherme de Paula Espindola, aged 21, who was in the passenger seat of a car hit by gunfire. ✅ Click here to follow the g1 Vale do Paraíba and region channel on WhatsApp The driver, aged 23, was rescued and taken to the municipal emergency room with a gunshot wound to the abdominal region. There is no information about his health status. The women were not injured. Now on g1 Witnesses reported to the police that two men who were in a wooded area close to the location had fired shots at the vehicle. Furthermore, they reported that a person had approached the car and shot the passenger several times. After the attack, the driver managed to drive to a road between the establishment and the Fazenda Grande neighborhood, where the vehicle was located by police teams. Inside the car, the passenger was already dead. The witnesses interviewed stated that they were leaving the place when they noticed the presence of the suspects and heard the shots. None of them were able to identify the authors. According to police records, there were no reports of previous disagreements involving the victims inside the dance club. The motivation for the crime is still unknown. Forensics were called and carried out surveys at the scene. Personal belongings of the victims were seized, as well as cell phones, which should assist in the investigation. The vehicle was also collected for analysis.
