The case of the teacher at the State Technical School (Etec) in Cubatão (SP), who was removed from his position after being accused of sending sexual messages to a former student, is being investigated by the Civil Police as persecution, a crime known as stalking.
The young man, who will not be identified, told g1 that he decided to find out who was the author of the messages sent on WhatsApp by an unknown phone number. He had the idea of simulating a Pix worth R$0.01 for the number, when the name and part of the teacher's CPF appeared.

In a statement, the Paula Souza Center (CPS) informed that the teacher will be removed from activities until the preliminary investigation of the case is completed (see the full position below). The man's identity was not released by police.
Lawyer Fabio Hypolitto, who has no relation to the case, explained to g1 that the crime of stalking is provided for in article 147-A of the Penal Code. The practice occurs when someone repeatedly persecutes another person, threatening the victim's physical or psychological integrity.
Stalking: understand what this crime is, know how to identify it and see how to report it
Hypolitto added that the crime can happen both in person and online. As a previous g1 report showed, the main characteristic is repetition, but the ways in which harassment can occur are varied, for example:
Many messages from the same person on different occasions, even signaling that they do not want to have that contact;
Many calls in a row;
Comments, mainly with negative content, on publications made on social networks;
The stalker can create fake profiles on social networks to monitor what you post if you are blocked;
Family members and/or friends begin to be followed by the stalker, or by the same fake profiles;
The victim realizes that someone is always in the same places and times as you;
The victim receives comments that show that that person has seen you or knows about your routine, such as saying exactly what clothes you were wearing or a photo of something of you or a place you have been.
🚨 ATTENTION: The term "stalking" may seem banal because it is used to refer to the practice of snooping on people's posts. Curiosity, in itself, does not constitute any type of crime.

Other crimes
The São Paulo Public Security Secretariat (SSP-SP) stated that the case is being investigated by the city's 3rd Police District (DP), which is carrying out measures to clarify the facts. "Other details will be preserved to guarantee autonomy for police work", highlighted the ministry.
As reported in the police report, the crime was classified as stalking by the Civil Police. Despite this, the lawyer stated that he believes that other crimes of a sexual nature could be committed after consideration by the Public Prosecutor's Office. See below:
➡️Article 215: Sexual harassment;
➡️Article 216-A: Sexual harassment due to the hierarchy between teacher and student;
➡️Article 140: Insult, as the teacher called the young man "asshole" in one of the messages.
The lawyer added that the case can also be classified as a disturbance of the peace. "It is not technically classified as a crime, but rather as a criminal misdemeanor [...] due to excessive and insistent messages sent aimed at the student", he concluded.

Remember the case
The young man studied at Etec de Cubatão between 2023 and 2024. According to him, in May 2024, he received his first messages on WhatsApp in which the author said he was "beautiful" and "hot".
"I received some strange messages from an unknown number. At first, I didn't think much of it, but after the third message I decided to investigate who the author was", recalled the former student.
The boy researched how to identify a person with just their phone number and found a suggestion to do a transfer simulation. When the contact is registered as a Pix key, it is possible to identify the name and part of the Individual Taxpayer Registry (CPF).

Upon seeing the teacher's name, the young man immediately blocked contact. In October 2025, another unknown number sent the same type of message. "As I already suspected who it was, I did the same thing as Pix and it was the teacher again. This time, I contacted the school," he said.
The teaching unit identified that the CPF part matched the teacher's registration at the institution. The young man stated that he was instructed to register a police report (BO) and report the case on a state government website.
New messages
In 2025, the young man never returned from school and the formalization of the complaint ended up not being completed. Last Sunday (7), he was contacted via the Telegram app by a number with the teacher's name: "Yummy. Hot ass. Let's be real."
Given the situation, the former student registered the police report stating that the insistence on contacts, despite the blockades carried out, has caused embarrassment, discomfort and a feeling of insecurity.
In the police record, he highlighted that the messages are excessively intimate, inappropriate and contain sexually suggestive content.

The complaint has already been sent to the State Comptroller General. The Center informs that it has a Permanent Guidance and Prevention Committee against Moral and Sexual Harassment to train professionals, aiming to raise awareness among the academic community and its employees about unrestricted respect for civil rights.
The Paula Souza Center continues to monitor the case and is available to the authorities. The CPS rejects any and all forms of harassment inside and outside its units."
