Diocesan Sanctuary of Santo Antônio, in Caraguatatuba (SP) Disclosure/PASCOM SANTUÁRIO Saint Anthony's Day, traditionally known as the matchmaking saint, is celebrated this Saturday (13). To celebrate the date, the Santo Antônio Parish, in Paraibuna, and the Santo Antônio Sanctuary, in Caraguatatuba, prepared special programs and tributes to the patron saint. Due to the strong connection of these communities on the North Coast and Vale do Paraíba with religion, June 13th is a municipal holiday in the cities. Celebrations for the patron saint involve everything from masses, community weddings and even the sale of a 'matchmaking cake' with hidden medals. According to traditions, whoever finds the object in the candy slice has a greater chance of getting married. ✅ Click here to follow the g1 Vale do Paraíba and region channel on WhatsApp In Paraibuna, the slice will be sold for R$10 and, according to the church, it will not have medals. In addition, there will be a procession and broadcast of the World Cup after the mass.
