Coach Carlo Ancelotti spent the week without giving any clues about who will take to the field this Saturday (13), at 7pm (Brasília time), against Morocco, at the MetLife Stadium, in New Jersey (United States). It was no different this Friday (12). The Italian, however, admitted that the dead ball will be an important weapon for Brazil for their World Cup debut. "There is a statistic that 30% of goals come from dead balls. This is an important aspect in modern football. We have good corner takers and good headers. We can take advantage," said the coach, in a press conference held on the stage of Saturday's match, valid for Group C, which also includes Haiti and Scotland. The last European season made clear the importance of foundation. Arsenal scored 69 goals in the English Championship title campaign, 28 of which, that is, around 40% of the total, came from set pieces, mainly from corner kicks: there were 18 goals in this way. Defender Gabriel Magalhães, a starter for Arsenal and Brazil, scored three goals and provided another four assists in the English season, always taking advantage of corners or free kicks in the area. Therefore, seven Arsenal goals came with his direct participation. Furthermore, he achieved an average of 0.8 shots per game – almost one per game – even playing in the defensive sector. Without confirming Saturday's starting line-up, Ancelotti guaranteed a competitive Brazil to face Morocco. The Italian coach stated that a "complete game" will be necessary if they want to overcome the African team, semi-finalists in the last World Cup in Qatar. "Morocco is a very well organized, quality team. We can't let anything pass defensively, offensively or in transition. We need strong set pieces, because we have quality there. There is no small team in modern football", pondered the commander, who did not promise a title, but assured that the Brazilian team can face any opponent in the World Cup. "We are convinced that we can compete against everyone. Our current feeling is positive. We are confident for the World Cup," he stated. At the press conference, Ancelotti was also asked about Neymar. The striker is the only one of the 26 called up by Ancelotti who did not train with the group, both in Brazil and in the United States. The player continues to treat a grade two injury to his right calf. "Neymar is working very hard to recover as quickly as possible. The expectation is that he can return to the group next week. He has unquestionable technical quality, experience and the example he presents to the group", summarized the coach.  He hopes to have the number 10 in the second game of Group C, against Haiti, at Lincoln Financial Field, in Philadelphia, next Friday (19), at 9:30 pm.
