A new notice schedule will be published "soon", according to the note. According to the agency, irregularities were identified in only four of the ten positions included in the competition: External Control Auditor – Public Accounts; External Control Auditor – Information Technology; External Control Analyst – Public Accounts; Management Analyst – Administration. The exams will be reapplied for those who failed the last test, those eliminated from the competition and those involved in fraud. The TCE also informed that the schedule will be resumed for six other positions whose tests were not fraudulent, according to the investigations. They are: External Control Auditor – Public Health Accounts; External Control Auditor – Public Works; External Control Analyst – Public Works; External Control Analyst – Information Technology; Management Analyst – Judgment; Prosecutor of the Court of Auditors. According to the body, with the resumption of the schedule for these positions, the preliminary result of the objective test will be republished, with the reopening of the deadline for submitting appeals. Suspected fraud The competition notice was published on May 30, 2025. The competition included ten higher-level positions. The tests were administered on August 31st and September 7th. The list of those approved had been published on the FGV website on October 6th. Among them was Laís Giselly Nunes de Araújo, who had come in fifth place for the position of External Control Auditor in Information Technology, with 67 points in the objective test. According to investigations, the candidate was known to have a history of passing public competitions for 11 years. According to the document, it accumulates 14 records of suspected fraud, three of which are linked to competitions held in 2022, when it began to be investigated. In the same year, Laís was approved for the medicine course at the Federal University of Pernambuco (UFPE). Graduated in law, with active registration with the Brazilian Bar Association (OAB), Laís Giselly Nunes de Araújo was approved in a public exam for the first time in 2014, when she passed the test at the Municipal Traffic Authority of Ipojuca, in Greater Recife. Since then, she has accumulated approvals from several bodies, such as the Public Ministry of Pernambuco (MPPE), Recife city hall, Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Pernambuco (IFPE), Campina Grande city hall (PB) and UFPE, where she was appointed civil servant. In addition to Laís, Luiz Paulo Silva dos Santos, a native of Cabo de Santo Agostinho, in the Metropolitan Region, is another Pernambuco native investigated by the PF operation. According to the investigation, he is suspected of defrauding more than 67 public competitions, including last year's Unified National Competition (CNU). According to investigations, the scheme was carried out by a criminal organization, which hired people "with advanced knowledge" to resolve evidence issues and passed on the templates to their clients.
