Solange de Fátima de Souza, aged 43, and Stefhanie de Souza Vaz, aged 23, were traveling along BR-101 with a motorcycle when they were involved in a collision with two trucks. ✅ Click and follow the g1 SC channel on WhatsApp The two worked as outsourced workers at the Itajaí Temporary Animal Reception Unit (Uapa). In a statement, the institution lamented the deaths and wished strength to the family members. The location will not have service this Friday. "We ask for understanding, respect and support for the families, so that they can go through this moment with the necessary privacy and welcome. Solange and Stefhanie will always be remembered with affection for their dedication and for everything they represented for our team", informed the organ. Stefhanie was a Veterinary Medicine student at the Avantis University Center (Uniavan). The institution also mourned the deaths. Accident closed highway The accident occurred early in the morning, around 7am. The drivers of the two trucks were not injured. Due to the collision, the highway was closed until around 9 am, causing 17 kilometers of congestion. The Federal Highway Police (PRF) did not disclose the dynamics of the crash.
