British artist David Hockney, one of the most influential figures in contemporary art, died yesterday, Thursday, at the age of 88 at his home in London, his agent announced today.  In the following report, we learn about this artist who placed bright colours, drawing and photography at the forefront of contemporary art, over a career spanning seven decades.
