The monetary institution is due to announce on Tuesday its new forecasts for French growth in 2026, expected to be down compared to the initial forecast of 0.9% in April. The European Central Bank's decision to raise its key rates should amplify this slowing effect, in order to "contain" the risk of an inflationary spiral.
