A military police officer died after falling ill at his ex-girlfriend's house, on Thursday night (11), in Boa Viagem, in the South Zone of Recife. José Maria Alexandre da Silva Júnior, 40 years old, was allegedly poisoned, according to the case's police report, to which g1 had access.
The corporal, known as Silva Júnior, was from the Mounted Police Regiment, the former PM cavalry. Despite the suspicion of poisoning, the case is not investigated as a homicide, but rather as a "death to be clarified". The body will still undergo forensic examinations to identify the cause of death.

Initially, the Military Police were called to investigate the incident as a homicide. When he arrived at the scene, he found the police officer dead.
The police report states that the Civil Police Homicide Task Force was called to investigate a completed homicide and that, "according to reports from the local police station, she had been poisoned and was inside a residence on Rua Tenente Domingos de Brito".

After the expert work, "it was determined by the police authority that this incident report be registered as 'death to be clarified'".
The woman who was with the police officer was not arrested. The body was collected by the Institute of Legal Medicine (IML) and taken to the body's headquarters, in the neighborhood of Santo Amaro, in the center of Recife. There, he must undergo forensic examinations to certify the cause of death.
Questioned by g1 and TV Globo, the Civil Police did not confirm whether the woman was interviewed at the police station, nor whether she was being investigated for possible involvement in the death.
The case remains under investigation by the 3rd Homicide Police Station, linked to the Department of Homicide and Personal Protection (DHPP), in the Cordeiro neighborhood, in the West Zone of Recife.
