Hokuriku Electric Power Co. has announced that it has raised the height of the tsunami expected at the Shiga Nuclear Power Plant in Ishikawa Prefecture in response to the Noto Peninsula earthquake and other events. The new tsunami is assumed to be a maximum of 12 meters, about 5 meters higher than the previous one, and will be discussed in future reviews by the Nuclear Regulation Authority, including tsunami countermeasures.
