According to the hospital, the incident occurred around 11:45 pm and began at the unit's power substation. Firefighters from the hospital themselves acted immediately to control the situation and called the firefighters to support the incident.

In a statement, Hospital Samaritano reported that patients and companions were sent to the locations provided for in the institution's emergency plan, with assistance from care teams. After controlling the incident, everyone returned to their respective beds and work areas.
The unit highlighted that there were no victims and that the service was maintained. The hospital also reinforced its commitment to the safety of patients, companions and employees and informed that the operation continues normally.
